My mother has an old style PHILLIPS TV Ref: 21TT532205.( Must be about 15 years old)
She's 86 years old and has inadvertantly touched " a button" on the remote control... changing her NORMAL Image to a Film Panoramic....
For the life of me, I cant remember. which button needs to be pressed to get back to normal.... I live in spain and she in London..... so impossible to get her to read the instruction manual over the phone..... as she can hardly see the thing and does'nt understand even the simplist technical stuff. Any body got any SIMPLE ideas... like press the 3rd button the right.... or the red button...... I know this is a really wierd question.... but Maybe... thanks in advance d.

Try this link:

It is the helpbook for a very similar model 21TH532205, but hopefully they are the same!

Try pressing the very last button in the top section. Try pressing that one again. It has two small arrows pointing horizontally with black margins (to indicate bringing picture margin in)

Or go into Menu - picture, which I think you access by pressing the red button, then the left arrow - though this seems to only adjust brightness etc.

The only thing i can think of is if you email phillips and explain the problem maybe they can help you. If not couldnt you get someone to get her a universal remote you can buy them now with the larger buttons on, so she will be able to see them more clearly.

Hi there have you tried downloading an instuction booklet from the web?
It is a long shot I know, then you could read the thing yourself.
Hope that helps or someone else has the same TV!
Bless!

Maybe this is too advanced for her or she doesn't have one, but can you have her take an digital picture of it and email it to you? Or can she have a neighbor do that for her?

Does she have any neighbours she can ask to help her or is there anyone you can call to pop round there and fix the problem?
