It will work, but don't install the device drivers. The components in the Dell will probably be a different brand than the HP so you will have to go to the web to find compatible drivers for everything.

No, it won't work.
All Manufacturer's Recovery disks are hardware specific, by Make and Model number, so HP laptop disks only work on HP laptops.
Order the SPECIFIC upgrade for your desktop from Dell.

It will not work, it is proprietary. The OEM version of XP will only work with the brand of PC it came with.
