Diets don't work, trust me. Just eat less of the same food and get more exercise, nothing worse than depriving yourself of something you like.

I did the Cambridge Diet once and lost about a stone in 3 weeks. At first it was great and I must say once I got into it, it was the easiest diet to follow as there was no choice about food, just what flavour to have at the next meal and gallons of water. I felt absolutely marvellous after a few days and am sure there were some vitamins and minerals in it which I must be lacking normally because I felt really fit and healthy with bags of energy. Sadly, though, by the end of the 2nd week, no matter what flavour 'soup' I was drinking, they all started to taste very similar. I could taste the 'base' flavour which wasn't particularly nice and the strawberry - or whichever flavour was used to hide this base taste - just didn't work. I gave up after 3 weeks because, by then, just the thought of it made me heave and I couldn't take any more. Even sadder....after 2 months I'd put my lost stone back on and got even heavier after that. If you can stand the taste you should be OK.....but be very careful once you come off it. Maybe weaning off it very gradually with salads and low calorie meals interspersed with the CD 'soup' might keep the weight off afterwards.
