At this point I think Christianity will be the minority in the near future. Better start cleaning house now while it is still easy to do so.

What does playing church mean?
Christ established a church, chose leaders, and those leaders chose deacons, elders, and bishops. That is straight out of the Bible.
I receive the Eucharist - the Body and Blood of Christ - at Church. I could not do that just sitting at home thumbing through a Bible. You should not try to divide faith and corporate worship: Christ calls us to BOTH

The question makes no sense.....''bearing the image" "playing church "...what on earth are you going on about ?
EDIT.......It never ceases to amaze me what you people come up with.If you are not criticising The Catholic Church,you are insulting the Mother of God,or you are saying Jesus is not God and you believe every word in the Bible is true and you call yourselves "Christians"No way are you Christians.I would rather spend time with Atheists instead of hypocrites.

It did say in the bible that only a few will make it. People that are "playing church" wont make it anyways. I also am guilty of this. the church needs to get back on track, back to sound biblical teaching. Not this washed-up nonesense pastors are preaching now.

Yep there is a lot the church lacks. Check out the laodicean church of revelation and see if you see any similarities. mind that the metaphor of richness- the laodiceans were not necessarily rich materially but did believe they were rich spiritually. See what Jesus had to say to them. The whole book is good on that.

The real church is in our heart. We should strive to be a reflection of Christ and His love. And we should constantly remind one another that we are to treat others as we want to be treated.

Most people look at church as a club hose for christians. It's supposed to be a hospital for the lost. I agree with you.

No, play church please. It keeps you off the streets for a few hours and aids the local restaurants as you congratulate yourself with a post-service lunch.
