No i do not think that this is normal. This could be many many things ....who knows ! I am thinking something along the lines of possibly a pinched nerve or poor circulation or a herniatied disc....could be many things just talk to your doctor be politely firm tell him or her like it is ...request an x ray or ct scan and maybe get some blood work done to confirm if it is or is not diabetes.Best of luck darling .. i hope they figure it out for ya.I can understand your fustration of not knowing the pins and needles sensations...i get it to all the time the neurosurgen is trying to figure out my pins and needles.Good luck to you !

Pins & Needles are caused when your circulation is low or has stopped in a local area of your body, for example when you sleep on an arm or sit on your hand. When the blood cannot flow freely, the acid within it starts to irritate the vessels in that area, giving you the tingling sensation. The evolutionary reason for this is to warn you of the poor circulation in the area, so you can do something about it. The best thing to do in the short term, is to raise the affected area/limb above your heart level, so the blood can flow out of it. The main cause of regular pins & needles is low blood pressure, but it's nothing to lose sleep over.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Sounds like it could be a circulatory problem. Seek medical attention if this continues on for more than a month. They will run some blood work and possibly some other tests. This is also a sign of MS, a MRI would be needed and a possible spinal tap to be able to rule it out or confirm. If this is your only symptom though it is most likely your circulation. Which could lead them to check your sugar levels as well.

This is a condition that is attacking your nervous system.
I am recovering from a virus that did this sort of thing and I still get pins and needles in my arms and hands, very often it is worse at night.
It has improved after three weeks but go and see your doctor and get it checked out.

Had the same problem, went to the quack and he put me on an aspirin a day to thin out the blood and regular excercise to get the blood flowing. The excercise will also help you to lose the weight.

Low blood pressure.
I suffer it all the time and my blood pressure is lower than average but not dangerously low.
Maybe you should get your blood pressur checked just to make sure?
A good cure is to exercise regularly to get the blood pumping.
