We are thinking of naming our son Britton. Maybe call him Britt for short. What do you think of it

oh I'm not too fond of Britton, at first it sounds kind of okay but really it's not. And the nickname will have him made of fun of. I think that maybe if you switch it a little and call him Bryton or something like that it would be better. Bryton sounds more of a smart strong man and Britton sounds kind of feminine and weak.

I think that the name Britton is great. It is a unique "en" name, and so I think that it is unique but popular.

I must say that unfortunately the nickname Britt is not so great, because of Britney being so popular. Britton is such a strong name though, that you might be able to pull it off.

Why not call him Tony for short?

Or consider one of these "on" names:
Bronson
Boston
Braden
Baron
Brenton
Brenson
Brogan
Bryson

or
Griffin
Keegan
Dawson
etc...

really though, after thinking about it more, I really love the name Britton. He doesn't need Britt as a nickname, lots of kids nowadays go by their full names. and even if you use it, I really do think that his main name is strong enough to compensate for the nickname.

I actually knew a boy named "Britton" from summer camp years ago. He's parents couldn't decide if they wanted to name him "Brian" or "Quinton", so they decided on "Britton". I thought it was nice...because it's unique. I think they just called him "B" for short. Besides, Britt sounds a little feminine.

Good Luck :)

Don't choose some thing 'certain'. Just choose some thing rather distinguished -- this fashion he may not be considered one of 3 boys with the equal title in his categories, however his title will nonetheless be readily understood and readily said; he may not ought to spend an entire life repeating his title and spelling it for individuals. Don't underestimate some great benefits of having a reputation different individuals can have an understanding of. Some recommendations: Rhys Carlton Warren Carlton Emmett Carlton Dale Carlton Marcus Carlton Neil Carlton

I like the full name because it's different, but when I hear "Britt", I instantly think of my friends little girl. Her name is Brittany, and everyone calls her Britt.

I really like Britton, but I don't like the nicknames! Maybe it would work for a middle name?

I think it's cute, but the only Britton I've ever known was a girl.

But nowadays, names are so unisex that it might be a cute boy's name, too!

Go for it

I know a girl named Britt, its of swedish origin i think, so I wouldn't go with that. Plus it makes me think of the UK tv show 'little brittain' which isn't exactly a compliment!lol!

Brenton would be better and go for Brent as a pet-name.
