Leon, please know the same abusive toxic 'friends' you are talking about are everywhere. They seem to prey on sensitive persons. OK here is my advice RUN from this kind of person. They seem to delight in making people feel bad. You don't have to be mean just tell her you are "busy' DON'T give information about what. Just avoid as much as possible.
Second, start hanging out places where people are like you hang out, join some of the student organizations. Try to keep your mind on your studies instead of making friends at this time. I know it is hard and lonely sometimes. Great friends are waiting and so is your future. Congratulations on college many people don't get this opportunity.

Sounds like, to me, that you are giving X and Y way too much space in your head! You could benefit from thinking about them in another way. Why don't you think of them as sick friends? In a way they really are emotionally sick to toy with your emotions. If you start to wish for them the same things you would wish for a sick friend, you will realize one day that those feelings of hatred are gone. Remember that you can only control how YOU think and feel about things. There is NOTHING you can do to change their behavior, so for your own sanity, try changing yours. Good Luck

You need to just ignore girl X and her friend Y. It's that simple. You will make your life so much easier if you don't worry about what other people think about you. I think the pressures of college are getting to you and you might think about going on some anti-depressant medication.

You have worse problems than those girls. You need some anti-depressants. Go to a psychiatrist. There is no one reason for you to let these girls upset you that badly. It has to be a problem with you.
