The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was my fiance's face as I was walking up the aisle to become his lawful wife. I have been seeing the most beautiful thing ever, his face, his mind (and his hot self!!) every day since. Beauty from the inside out is the very best there is, in this context.
Outside of that, I will have to admit to the sky and it's many faces, Morning glow, Evening calm, Stormy fury, Snowy grace, Raining life, Sunny basking (or baking, depending where you are).
Everything above and above.....brings my own inner world into better perspective, which is a beautiful gift in and of itself.
as for the "until now"....I can barely wait to see and hold my new nephews, my baby brother's boys, they are beautiful in pictures, sparkling eyes (mischievous eyes! (sp))....but you never know what kind of beauty you'll see next, and that is a wonderful thing to look forward to, huh? I think so.
One last thought: Seeing my 12 yr younger sister as a newborn and a young child growing into a beautiful young woman with a compassionate heart and a stubborn and lovely soul has to be above even the natural world's sky's moods. Having a tiny little (we shared a room while I was still at home) three year old with an enormous halo/mop of brunette hair giving me the "look" with her hand on her hip shaking her finger at me, informing me that I was a bad girl for snoring and keeping her up "all night" and using my mother's tone of voice for saying my first and middle name to top it off after lodging her complaint with me about my sin is still one of the funniest, cutest and most beautiful moments in my younger life. All these years later, it still makes me laugh.

Everyday, when I walk back home, I stop at the top of the hill and stare out at the horizon. By that time, the sun has sunken to about eye level, and has painted the rest of the sky and clouds a chaotic mix of rose, indigo, fire, and light. Sometimes a train of clouds hangs so low that they seem to kiss the buildings below them as they continue their mournful march. Curtains of light dive down from the clouds and bathe small patches of earth in warmth. This is the scene everyday, and it is always the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. If you want to think that God can create such beauty, then imagine how beautiful can God be?

Seeing the stunning island of Praslin in the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean from the air before landing . The contrast of the lush vegitation against the blue Indian ocean with one tiny white cloud above the island left me speechless .
Either that or Tony Blair walking away from Downing St for the last time , that was great to see.
