It depends on the context. It could be weekend, but I have always seen it used here in the UK to mean 'with effect from'. E.g. 'The new tax rates will come into force w/e 1st January'

In common slang internet terms it means 'whatever' but on somme buisness documents it means 'with experiance' and sometimes it meeans weekend but thats less common.
