for algebra (to me the most useful math topic), practice is the key. once you were able to arrive at an answer, try answering the same question in a different way or using the same question to solve a different problem.

for numerical analysis, it will be useful to know the properties of a number (i.e. multiplicity rule, etc) i do practice with telephone numbers, say getting the prime factors of a telephone number.

for math involving formulas, do not memorize the formula. instead, try to understand how the formula was derived.

it's a different case for math problems involving sin, cos, tan wherein it is best to just memorize the rules.

there you go. just some insights. good luck

There is no solution. The best way to improve is to have after-class lessons with your math teacher. That's how I did it.
