The papers are saying she looks distressed. I do no see distress at all, I see an inquisitive look, like all kids are interested in where they are going.
I cant see why people are getting so excited about it. I know people are not prepared to think the worst, and it seems a happier scenario than other options, but I think alot will be disapointed.

OMG that is just so silly.
You can barely see the girls face in the picture. How anyone can even say it looks like her is beyond me. There is no evidence at all that it could be her in that picture.

She Does not look distressed to me. By the way Snetterton go to the Daily Express website and you will see what you ask in black and white. If you were on holiday and took this photo would it be possible to take a distinct photo from 200 Metre`s away. Perhaps with a high tec camera, but do we really take that sort on holiday with us

no, i dont see her looking distressed. neither have i seen a newspaper claim that she looks distressed but hey, i havent read them all.
i think a lot of people are going to be disappointed too, its going to be nearly impossible to trace the people and judge whether the girl is maddie or not. at lest it may give some people happier thoughts for a while

Surely if you recognise Madeleine are you going to take a picture and wait weeks to give it to the police? If i saw her in the street and was sure it is her I would call her name and garb the child. And in North Morocco loads of people have fair skin and hair.

I think it looks uncannily like her campaign photo. I really hope it is her and if it is then she certainly does not look distressed to me. I still think it is a fake personally, however, I do hope I am proved wrong.

I heard a report on the radio - I think it may have been BBC Radio 2 - where the reporter said the photo showed "a frightened looking girl".
You can't tell that from this photo.

The little girl does look curious. She certainly does not look stressed. She is probably being looked after very well.
We will have to take the disappointment, but where this is HOPE...... you never know.

she does look curious, but i think people are saying she looks distressed coz she looks lost in thought, its quite odd for a 4yr old to look so deep in thought, like she is detactched i spose
