i often travel from category to category.
and i found.. it can reflect life as a whole..

some people who has happy life.. dwells in polls & surveys.. or single or dating..
but some people who has 'not so fair' life.. dwells in mental health.. psychology..
some are enjoying good fights in the religion and spirituality..

what i mean is.. it reflected one's whole life..
one person's life is dedicated to love.. other are having fun, expressing self.. but there are lots who just seems struggle.. with mental or physical sufferings..
those who struggle might give up on 'singles and dating', 'entertainmaint and music'.. and struggle in mental health, diseases and religion-spirituality too..

what do u think ?

so.. it's miniature of earth in yahoo answers..
insipire by miniature of earth.

Yes, I agree. YA reflects very much real life, but there are people who suffer in every category and people who have lots of fun even in R&S.
Strange world.

I dont think you can really judge someone by where on here they spend most of their time. I happen to spend quite a lot of time in religion and spirituality but do not consider myself to be under any kind of mental struggle, I have a pretty good life and am generally happy, I happen to find religion a very interesting subject.

Maybe some people find some subjects more interesting than other. Some people have higher levels of intelligence than others, not wanting to sound rude! They are more likely to spend time in religion, philosophy etc than dating.

Maybe the fact that we spend time on yahoo answers puts all of us into a certain category also, im sure this is how people who do not use it would see us.

You are a bit right and a bit wrong.
If people are looking into philosophy means they are not depressed.
And one more thing only depressed people look for dating cause they can't stand alone they want someone to throw their burdens.
They want external support to depend on for happiness.
And the philosophical or spiritual doesn't necessarily mean that they are not happy.
A physicist is trying to explain a formula and the son of the physicist asks his father what is this?
And the physicist replies its a physical law.
And the son asks will it give me chocolates and the physicist says No.
Then the Son replies whats the use of it. It is waste.
In the same way people without maturity cannot understand philosophy and say its only for depressed people.

God Bless you.

I`m not sure. But I think its a reflection of a persons 'well being' how often they are on here answering stuff - such as 'top contributors'. To me that means they spend too much time on here.
I think the way people answer questions gives an insight too. Some people are so nasty and dont even answer the question that has been asked.

I don't participate in all categories so I wouldn't know.
I just know one general fact:
From the way that people are answering you can really get some picture about them: their general education, culture level, manners.
You can also have some picture about their interests or hobbies (free time), about things that make them emotional, so you can even judge about their character and IQ. Does that reflect whole life I don't know. Have you thought that they maybe act differently than they would in the real life, because here they can be anonymous?

The world is filled with people who are sad or unhappy or focussed on a particular issue. I just flit from question to question looking to those I may be able to answer with some knowledge and experience. Don't get caught in a trap of negative comments making you feel bad.

People on here are just passing time, enjoying relaxing, putting their feet up and most don't take it as seriously as you may suggest.

No i don't play like that,

I start in "all categories" and go down list till i find a question that i like, then answer it i will then click show me another until i hit a couple of questions i don't, when i will return to "all categories".

I somtimes play the devils advocate and argue a position i might not hold.

Well philosophy is generally defined as a rational endeavor (not at all emotional). Unfortunately most of the people who post questions to this category have some other understanding of philosophy.

Your question too, is almost entirely emotive.

Ow..come on Mr. hippy. do you feel down now?
This is the Y!A supposed to.
there is nothing to Sadness off or be some an unfairness situation..
according to me.. where ever we are in each cattegory on Y!A is not really reflected who we are, because some of us.. dont want to be recognized in the real life.. and we use this forum to show our other side of Mindset...

Yeah, well, I never thought of it quite like that, :-> but I have noticed those differences and I, myself, usually jump around from category to category.
