Try not to worry about what to expect. Just listen to your gut instincts, don't be afraid to say 'no' if a situation arises that you aren't sure about and listen to your parents if they tell you something that they feel is important. The one piece of advice I can give you that is more important than anything else is, if you get on the right side of your parents and go along with what they want most of the time you will get more out of them in terms of going out, parties etc later on. Gain their trust and keep it, don't abuse it and you will enjoy a happy adolescents!

A swirling torrid of unspeakable horror comprised of endless cynicism, stupidity, poor judgment, hate, pretending to understand politics, racial/religious bigotry, ruining your life with drugs because of that "it's my body and I'll do what I want" attitude, getting tattoos just to piss off your parents, and getting killed in a hit-and-run because you're too damn drunk to avoid getting hit by a car in front of your school.
Expect all of this to happen within the first month.

lol...
You should expect yourself to be more responsible for you own actions. Take responsibility for them... and a helpful hint would be to think before you act. Don't go down the wrong road.

Nothing new... It's not like the very second the day changes you grow two feet and get boobs, it all happens so slowly that you don't even notice it.
