Maybe it's the way you're asking the question, and how do you know they are middle-aged men hwo no gfs or even lives? Maybe they are hot and sexy and single and available?
Just a thought.

You're misguided, little 14 year old or I should say...having wrong perceptions about the reality of the world. In your "about me," you said you've got plenty of friends and hope to make more. What can I say? Life isn't really that easy, is it? I mean, you've got about 200 contacts and 93 fans. OK, that's pretty cool. I mean, you could surf through Y!A and add each and every avatar you come in contact with and pray that they'll also add you.
You get As without concentrating. Hmmm....I wonder if your teacher also checks your test papers without concentrating.
You hear "respect your elders" but did you ever hear "respect little teenagers"? And that's because those elders have been in your position and have a lot more experience and knowledge about life. So, when they tell you to concentrate on studies and avoid premarital sex, you're supposed to concentrate on studies and avoid premarital sex, not play hide and seek with your parents and go around playing "relationship games." And you know what? By all the things you said in your question about middle-aged men, you simply proved that you're a very stupid person. In fact, this question is probably the most stupid question I've ever seen on Y!A.
Oh, I almost forgot to answer your actual question.
No, I don't agree with you.
And yes, you're too young. Now, do your homework little boy. Remember you've got that paper to submit tomorrow?

Right, i'm pleased you're not bunking off school. And you're not too young at fourteen for a girlfriend. After all this is the modern day, we're out of the dark ages. Having said that, hopefully its stays at kissing maybe, and holding hands. You're way too young to have the responsibility of being a parent, if you get my drift.

Everyone deserves respect no matter who they are. We know you have legitimate feelings about the opposite sex. You may even feel like your in love. Elderly people tell you that because they want to give you the benifit of their knowledge. They dont want you to get their age and say I could have I should have I would have.
Im sorry that you feel disrespected. With life love and relationships comes a lot of responsibility and we wish we could give it all back to be your age again.
Take advantage of your youth, and get all of the free education, free knowledge, and benifits of our experience (free) you can while you are still young.
. I tell my son to stay young for as long as you can.
I would'nt tell anyone elses child any diff. Getting older is a pain, except you make more money.
God Bless

I agree, and i'm a middle aged man!
I had a girlfriend when i was 12, (that was 30 yrs ago) she was older then me too and so i don't think it's about age of who answers your questions, it's about attitude.
Some who people are 'older' might have more experience in some ways but really, they've never lived, but luckily that's not all of us.
Go for it, i wish i was teen again, it's the best time of your life.

I also hate that. Its like I think that I'm old enough to date now. Maybe like a while ago they didnt date until they were like 20 or something lol. But I have to say that older people do know what they are talking about since they have been in your position and are more experienced about most things. So you may not like their answers but sometimes they be true.

Nobody, it looks like ;-)
As a middle aged man, who is far from miserable, and having not seen any of your previous posts, all I can say is, that if you are in need of help in this task, then you mustn't be ready.
What do you expect people here can do for your love life? Give you cheezy chat-up lines? Somehow transmit confidence to you by the power of the internet?

This is an opinion forum so expect anything & everything to be
acknowledged, including opinions you may not agree with...I'm not a teen, but I have been so I understand your frustration of hearing an older persons opinion & rejecting it,that doesn't mean you should be mean about it or take it too personal, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, everyone.=)

You're too young to be asking that in here ............... LOL
No teenager is too young to date, as long as they stick to dating and don't go further until it's legal for them to do so.
What I hate more is god botherers telling legal teens that sex before marriage is a sin.
And yes ............... I'm middle aged (very early middle age though)
