Why are most of the buildings built today boring, anonymous towerblocks with no character. Humans used to build beautiful and ornate structures, Notre Dame, Taj Mahal etc etc, why have we stopped being so creative with buildings?

I agree, there should be more buildings with greater style. Today it's just a lack of $$ and thought. Everyone wants something to be constructed quickly. Many, many great buildings were designed really well and gracefully.
Today they look just to 'modern' without any 'spirit' or value. Too bad.

good Q.todays buildings have no character,they are just boring boxes,thrown up in no time!
I asked this recently and the answers I got were-they do not have the time and money now to make nice original buildings.

i think because all the stuff to make buildings cost ALOT of money so even millionaires can't afford it
