Any rider that puts down another rider's bike is NOT a motorcyclist, they're just a schmuck with a motorcycle. REAL riders appreciate anyone on two wheels and understand that since we are in EXTREME minority on the roads we need to stick together.
Go for a ride with them. Take 'em into the canyons on your FZ6 and show those fat, slow bastards what LEANING is. I have never seen a cruiser take a fast corner at anything more than 20mph, which is PAINFULLY slow for a sportbike. If they want to pretend that a heavy bike with ZERO performance is so cool, then let them; then leave them behind.

I have a Harley and a sport bike. Most of the Harley riders that I ride with are 30-60 years old. Most of them are at a point in their life that they don't need to go 180mph for fun. They enjoy cruising at 50 and seeing the sights. Most of them have been riding for decades too. Also, Harleys aren't cheap. The cost of the bike is only the beginning with a Harley. Most of the guys I ride with have enough stuck into their bike to buy 2-4 sport bikes, so they take care of them. The people I ride with that are on sport bikes are younger in comparison (18-30). The bikes are considerably cheaper. The reason these people bought a sport bike is to go fast, which is exactly what they do. Most of the sport bike riders I encounter have only been riding a few years at most. They are young, inexperienced, and out for a rush. While it's not fair to generalize one or the other (Like I said - I ride both) on average I think you will find what I described above.

no some people are just immature i prefer a (crouch rocket)or a so called (rice burner) any day over a Harley for the simple fact i don't want to tootle around i want to fly next time they say something ask them which bike would win in a race. but on the other hand if you buy a Harley Davidson in the us it was American made that most of the reason why they give you grief

I ride a jap bike also. I have an old 79 Suzuki 850. I like it , it runs great, and it is what I could afford. There have been several times I have had a Harley pull up beside me while riding and comment about my bike, I find it best to take a deep breath and say smells like the same air and smile. They don't have a come back after that.

learn to make comebacks such as. "by the time you get that thing started and push it through the puddle of oil underneath i will be a mile down the road". or "at least my mirrors are more that decorations". and of course "it only matters that you ride not what you ride." try being their friend and you will learn allot about riding and bikes and make friends that may last the rest of your life.

If you've got that many pokin' you, you did something.
Why you hangin' around them anyway?
I have NEVER had anybody on a Harley dis my saki-sucker. (Except close friends - in fun) They all respected the ride.
It may have helped that I always kicked it over instead of the push-button, but that's beside the point.
You have suddenly appeared, all full of attitude, proposing violence. I have a very strong feeling that YOUR attitude is what's causing you trouble.

I think they are probably just making fun of you. I have one very close family member who used to ride a jap bike, (now rides a BMW) and was never made fun of or anything. In fact he ran into the Hell's Angels a few times, and never had any problems.
So they probably just think you are a dork lol. I don't mean any offense cuz I don't know you, I just know he never had any problems.

If you are talking about Hells Angels guys you should be glad that is all they are doing is making fun.
This is because the worst I can think of is you get beat bad, get your bike stolen and smashed to pieces because they decide to ride it off some cliff and jump off before the bike goes over.
Don't mess with gangs walk away.

u have some good advise and some sh***y advise. i can't imagine you're getting this all the time but whatever. you're never going to stop people from their own opinion so suck it up,give them a smile and say thanks, get on you're bike and ride on. it almost sounds like u have the chip on you're shoulder and not the other way around. just remember, it doesn't matter what u have as long as u enjoy it! so, instead of expecting it and lookin for it just ride man because that's what u bought it for right?
