seems to be almost the norm nowadays unfortunately. No staying power these days. run at the first hurdle.

Not really. People are having childrn because for some stupid reason the have come to believe that having children in an unstable marriage will save their marriage and life. But in all reality,all it really does is compound the already existing problems in the marriage, makes some new ones,the couple cant handlethis so they end up blaming each other for creating these problems and divorce. Children are not the answer in these marriages but as usual, people just dont understand this and the kid pay the price for it unfortunately and this action just happens to "mold"our society into what it is today

Its not normal for me but it happens so fast now because have alot of temptations and also the pride for one self.
But if 2 person will think right and talk everything not do bad things with each other i think everything will work out.
One reason too is that young people getting married and end up in nothing, better think first before making a big decision coz ones you say YES theres no turning back anymore.

...i came from a ex-Communist country so my point of view regarding your question may be different from others ....15-20 years ago the divorces was so rare that it was something that acquired rarely and the community were shocked to hear about one.....this times after some 17 years of democracy there are so many that it become normal and is not an interesting event anymore ....
..regarding the children they are caught in the middle .....so the morale is ....if you have 2 much of everything is 2 much for your marriage!!!

Nope, it's totally abnormal to get divorced after getting children...children are a heritage of God and they are the ones who bring joy into a relationship...married couples should always do family planning...they can only give birth to the no. of children that they are capable of raising...i believe couples get divorced is because the children are adding more stress to their financial burden and some of them even believe that these children have stolen their freedom for romance and intimacy...don't forget we were once children !

~I hope it's not normal. I think that having children changes the marriage in ways couples don't expect. If you don't have a strong marriage to begin with, having children won't make it any stronger.~

Yes, they realise the pressures that children can bring. They should ban divorce once you have children, its all too easy to walk away.

People rush into marraige as if it is going out of fashion best thing is to just live with your partner and then get to know each other from there on you can decide

they dont divorce cuz they had kids...they divorced due to other factors....divorce happens alot...it should be avoided but it happens either cuz of money or infidelity or abuse....
