i think they have lied for a reason and as long as it doesn't put me or my family in danger its their problem and i don't waste my time or energy getting upset about something trivia..
life is far too short to worry about other people and the why they do things!!!

I somehow feel betrayed, however genuine communication is needed to prevent people from being untruthful to you, maybe they also have a reason for doing so.
Some things are not being mention also to protect you. being untruthful is a general term, is scopes a lot of major ideas.
Not telling someone what you know when they are not asking can't be considered as being untruthful, they maybe finding the right time to tell it to you however you find it out sooner with others and not with them.
You need to ask them why.

It depends on the lie. Some untruths are to protect the other person's feelings. I think most people tell white lies from time to time. If we were all 100% truthful 100% of the time, (like very young children are before they become 'socialized') lots of relationships would be on the ropes!
It depends on your definition of a lie.

I feel hurt and upset. it makes it harder for me to trust that specific person and believe what they are telling me.
If its a really horrible untruth i tend to cut the person out of my life. Harsh but it saves me the heartache of being let down by someone i have put trust in. Trust is important to me.

Hello
That always makes you feel dissapointed doesnt it.
You musk ask yourself why the person has been dishonest with you to try and understand.
Have they told a 'white lie' to protect somebody or avoid an unnecessary confrontation?
Have they lied to try and impress you?
Remember, people lie for a reason, does'nt matter if you see it as 'right or wrong' there is always a reason.
Its a complicated subject.

Not a thing too immune to it..Life goes on...move on to the next item on my agenda and when all is done at the end of the day kick off my shoes be it at home or where are we hanging tonite? You cannot live life crying over spill milk or over someone who has a bad disposition about themselves and that unfortunate being a compulsive liar! Don't worry about this just be happy that it does not rule your life or what is more important that is going on in your life.

Pretty down to be honest. This has just happened to me recently, so it was a bit spooky reading your question! Another word I'd use is disillusioned because when it happened to me, I realised that I couldn't trust this person to tell the truth in the future and couldn't be sure they had, in the past. So you end up questioning all sorts of stuff. Not a good feeling.

i've been there a lot.. a little too much. but i deal with it, i cry.. get hurt but move on. if i had learned anything from the experiences i've had, it is that there are good people as well as bad, you can not control your feelings , and NEVER promise what you can't keep; if you love someone today, doesn't necessarily mean you will tomorrow or the week after. yea that's all tough but it NEVER mid me lose faith in people, ever. and it DOES pay off, just give it time.
