considered property, why do people get arrested for neglect? They should not be labeled as property.

I have a simple suggestion for you. Park your car downtown and take a basball bat to it. Please tell me all about your experience afterward.

Your home is also your property, but you can't burn it down. Nor can you let it be neglected. Try throwing some rocks through your own windows. Please let me know how it turned out. Let it go without being repaired for a few years. Let me know how that turned out, too.

Try leaving your garbage out in your yard for a few weeks. Not in the can, but just in your yard. That is your property, sitting on your property. Let me know what happens.

There are all kinds of laws regarding various kinds of property you own. Your beginning premise that you can do whatever you want with your own property is erroneous and ill-informed.

If you own a car and beat it with a bat it is allowable if it is done inside your compound but if this done publicly you are charge with damage to property even if it is your car. The mere symbolism of your doing it in public is a wrong signal that you are vandalizing a car even if the public doesnot even know it is yours. How stupid would that be hitting and beating your own car, isn't it? There must be something wrong with the owner of the said car.

On the other hand why do people charge with neglect if they are dogs, because dogs doesnot have a mind of their own, they will piss and do their thing anywhere, or destroy someone else property. It is considered by law a negligence to the owner, why not keep the dog inside the house practically in your own yard. Is that so hard to do or understand? It is your dog obviously your responsibility. If he bites someone who take the blame, the dog? I donot think so.

If the dog is not property then what are they? You buy them right? So obviously it is you who is the owner but you cannot compare a car which is not moving or none life to a dog who wiggle and walks around without telling them to do so.

People get arrested for neglect if there are damages sustained by other people arising from reckless imprudence by others.
