This bleeding that you are having is what they call breakthrough bleeding (which can act a lot like a menstrual period) and sometimes it can be because your body doesn't like the particular brand being used. It can also be caused by infection such as with the cervix. I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor to let them know what's going on to see what they say.

Yes, some of these b/c can cause it, like many other side effects. Try Goggling the name of your b/c+side effects and see what it says.
