President Abraham Lincoln and Vice President Robert E. Lee? That would have been something. But as it went he had Hamlin and then Johnson as his Vice Presidents. And with the complaints that Lincoln gave no attention or duties to Hamlin (who complained a lot), I don't think Lincoln or Lee would have gotten along. Lee was very outgoing and they were with a similar interest when it came to war, maybe Secretary of State?

Pretty much impossible.

Lee never ran for political office. He was an Army officer when Lincoln was elected to the first term and an enemy general when Lincoln ran for his second term.

Lincoln offered him command of the Union Army before Fort Sumter was attacked. Lee refused the offer and went back to Virginia to join the Confederacy.

I don't think so. It was the north against the south. The north won.
