He saved this nation, against all odds and all enemies, and he paid for it with his life.No other president can approach this man's quiet, enduring sacrifice.

I keep going back and forth between different presidents. But my top three are:
1. FDR becuase he lead the nation through the Great Depression and WWII. He created social welfare programs and public works projects. He was one of the first modern democracts.
2. Lincoln - One ofthe greatest leaders of alltime. He alone kept the nation from splitting and he suffered from a lot of hardship and bad press. He was a fair leader who did not power grab.

3. TR is very unde these days. He practically gave the conservation movement legitimacy, he was a man of the people, and while he might've taken some blatent war wongering steps towards a war with spain (for expansion), he actually led his men up San Juan Hill unless national guard bush.

That is a question that doesn't really make sense. There are too many variables to calculate.

What does "best" mean? Most popular?
