I need to know if anyone knows how long it takes to have the "funny" feelings associated with being pregnant. For example normally loving the smell of coffee and all the sudden it makes you sick. Or morning sickness. Or just the general feeling of something being "different"

It has been 2 days since our last try. Any helpful tips would be fantastic. Thanks.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and still have no "funny feelings". I've not had any morning sickness. The only thing that I notice is that I don't like Taco Bell's meat anymore and I BBQ (which was a favorite) kind of makes my stomach upset. My stomach is starting to grow, I was already overweight, so it's starting to shift to the front more. That's really my only symptoms at this point.

Everyone will tell you to relax and it will happen. I'm not sure if that's the correct advice or not. But do try to relax, it's a very stressful time, I understand that (ttc 9 months and ended up having Artificial Insemination). Also, the standard "test up to 4 days early" tests...don't always work. I didn't test positive til 18dpo.

Good luck to you!!!

Here's my best tip - stop putting all this pressure on yourself! No two pregnancies are the same and yours, like your baby when he/she comes along, will be unique.

You might be sick all the way through (I was) or you might not feel sick much at all. You might go off coffee or not. You might have cravings (chips with curry sauce for me and I NEVER eat that!) or not. I also craved diamond jewellery and that craving hasn't gone away yet and my youngest was 10 yesterday lol

What I'm saying is that you're on high alert here, understandably, but you know that a watched pot never boils! Give yourself a break and relax into this - it'll give you a much better chance of conceiving too. Then when your baby does make his/her presence felt you'll know that no-one else has ever had quite the same experience as you. Hold that thought and take your time. Pregnancy and babyhood is over so fast it makes your head spin.

I wish you every happiness in the world - I'm really excited for you and more than a little jealous that you're still at the start of this most wonderful of journeys. Enjoy the trip!

For me, I started feeling symptoms about 3 weeks after conception (ie, last try), which was 1 week after my period was due. My sense of smell became hightened and everything made me feel sick!

About 2 seconds if you are a man and have just been told that you have helped conceive.
