May be they are from north of the Mason-Dixon line and are unaware of where leather comes from, in the first place.

Actually most aren't that dumb
what is interesting is that they have fake leather clothing/shoes and pretend it is much more ethical - it is still trying to look like you are wearing dead animal carcasses people!

Yep ironic alright. maybe they realise without us buying animal products many animals would never have the chance of life - let alone the pursuit of liberty etc etc.
