But on the other hand... it would be extremely funny, if you explained it to your mom and she agreed.
If I was 80 and it had been my child and he/she had asked me, I would have probably seen the funny nature of the whole thing and loved the idea. I would even ask people to come dressed in black and instead of gifts, to bring flowers and a dish (to help with mourning the death of another year, of course). But I am not your mom.
However, if your mom just died, I would say, go for it!
If she isn't dead, then you're the one who's probably going to end up dead! Headlines will read: "Killed by his own mother after birthday party."

If in fact you are a b@stard, then perhaps you have a valid reason to book that party, and while you are all there, maybe you can ask Mom for the umphteenth time, "Mom, who was my dad?"
