It's hard to get better than Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
"If your us, and we're you... then what number are we thinking?"
"69 dude!!!"
But, by far, my favorite was Point Break. Don't misunderstand me, the Matrix trilogies were great movies, but NEO was not a great character. NEO was really cool special effects and a phenominal fight sequence. Actually, nothing that he has done has demonstrated a great character. But I really enjoyed the adrenaline junky that he was in Point Break. And anytime you can use the line, "I caught my first break today" at work, you've done good.

From a perspective of simply a Keanu Reeves role, I would say Constantine. It was a frustrating film but I found his character was pretty mysterious and out there. I had a look back and there are a few roles I have enjoyed in him but I think he makes a better on the edge character than he does as a straight laced good guy. Constantine I think provided him this.
There is something about his demeanour that makes him seem that there is more to him than just what we see on screen.
As for movies, I would have to say The Matrix as it truly blows one away with its original story. f/x and creativity. I didn't enjoy him as much in this as others because it just seemed like a fairly one dimensional character. But even so its still works on too many levels for his character or performance to bring it down.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
He's so darn cute and sweet in this film! I love the two characters, their interaction, their joy of life, and their endless enthusiasm. Shaggyheaded Ted "Theodore" Logan is adorable!
Everyone to whom I've confessed my love of this film looks at me as if I've taken leave of my senses. I leap to the movie's defense and always will. I think people forget that it took some great acting to balance these characters who might have been irritating or unsympathetic in less-skilled hands. Alex Winter and Keanu deserve praise for their delightful comedic performances. It amazes me that the studio could release some very poor films but shelved this. (Of course, Rocky Horror Picture Show languished on a shelf, too, before they decided to release it.)
Keanu has played an amazing array of roles and has proven himself as a comedic and dramatic actor though most have come to view him as this grim, fierce, tough action guy.
I'll remember him in films such as B&TEA and Young Again. I cannot picture anyone else as Ted.

Stealing Minnesota. Cameron Diaz was in it with him, and it was before they were too famous. I think the acting is amazing, and the feelings and emotions that the characters seem to experience are so true to life...so much more so than the Matrix movies.

All the Matrix movies. I have not seen him in anything else actually but those are some of my favorite movies of all time.

The first Matrix. It was so new innovative and sexy. I love him, he is so sexy and low key. He doesn't do much, his facial expressions talk for him. Less is more with him, like a strong silent type. I like Constantine too mainly because of him and Shia LaBeouf in the same film. Shia is sexy too, yummy!

It has to be The Matrix.
The Matrix had a lot of action in it and was quite original.
