My computer will randomly freeze up while i'm in a game or on the internet for just a few seconds or so. I'm not sure if this is a video card error maybe or a ram/hdd issue. Usually happens while playing a video game and then I'll hit ctrl+alt+delete wait a few seconds and it'll be fine and then it will repeat process.

you probably have either DSL or cable Internet. I went back to DSL from cable because of the same thing. Although cable is faster sometimes it is less consistent, at peak usage hours (evenings and weekends). It could be you need to defragment, go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > defragment. (I would right click it and send a shortcut to start menu or desktop and use at least once a week. you could also restore to an earlier date (restore is also on the system tools list by defragment). if this doesn't work buy system mechanic, they offer a free trail period at Cnet.com, it works great.

Because that most software has automatically function. When you go to the system they would automatically run in the background. So you always use the software is more convenient. But it will also cause unnecessary troubles. There is so much software when you start your PC that the speed will slow down and they can impact of your normal use. We can tell you some simple methods to clear them.
Method 1 You can find start-up under options in settings and check close. It is difficult to close one by one, once automatic operation programs are too many.
Method 2 You can clean automatic operation programs by manual operation. They are in “run” option of the registry and start menu. Find and clean them.
Method 3 If you think the above two methods are not suitable for you. You only clean Start up by professional software. Of course, it is the simplest way. It invisibly saves a lot of energy and time. You can click the website http://computer-optimize.com/ to find the satisfied software

I wish my solution could help you.

You could have a virus or spyware running on your computer. To check for that, I would suggest downloading AVG Free 8.0 or Ad-ware 2008 and make sure they don't come up with anything. Also, you should try disabling/uninstalling any programs or services that you don't use. If you know how, then check all your hardware and make sure that nothing's overheating and that everything is functioning properly. Sometimes a scratched motherboard can cause a computer to freeze. Hope that answers your question!
