Why have you decided to vote against the liberal party?

Question

I want to know what has made the electorate decide that they will chose to vote for another political party at the next federal election.
Is it to do with lies, workchoices, environment?
If you are still intending to be a liberal voter, your answer is not relevant here thankyou.

This is for Australians, i dont care about American answers!

John Howard, Peter Costello, Alexander Downer, Tony Abbott, Work choices, buying elections, lies, leaving David Hicks in Guantanamo Bay with no trial (even though he was guilty everyone deserves a trial), and Howard being Bush's puppet. I was particularly disgusted about the way the waterside workers were removed from their jobs back in the late 1990s by armed goons with dogs. And then there was the prolonged lying about the children overboard when the fact were already public, just to get some bogans and drongos to vote for them. Then of course there was troops to Iraq. based on a lie cooked up by unelected fraudsters in the USA.

I have never hated the Liberal Party until now. They looked pretty good beside Joh Bjelke-Petersen back in the day when Labor couldn't find a credible leader in Queensland. But Howard and his gang have alienated me for ever. I hate the rotten stinking guts of them now. I hope Howard loses his seat and his deposit, the second isn't going to happen unfortunately.

I want to vote for Johnny. As he always tells the truth and he can be believed.
I want to vote for Abbott as He is so quick to reply about any question asked of Him.
I want to vote for Downer as he can't make a mistake, because he doesn't know what he is talking about.
I want to vote for Turnbull (Our next PM) I don't and he doesn't know why he is there in the first place. He just thought he could make it to the top in 5 seconds.
Thank God I awoke from this Nightmare. I had a real Bad dream. I look at Labor and at least we have a chance to make this Great Country better. You deserve a Star, Just gave you one.

I think that if anyone plans to vote liberal, their answer is not really relevant anywhere!

I have never voted liberal and never will. However, what has made me have such a strong dislike to the liberals is because of:

- Iraq
- Sucking up to the USA
- Workplace reforms
- Not ratifying kyoto
- Not saying sorry
- Finding a band-aid solution to a long-term issue that needs a long term solution (sending the army into the Northern Territory to deal with abuse)
- The lies: children overboard, the GST
- Not recognising unpaid carers
- And, something that you pointed out: for the crusty old tracksuit that never gets washed!

Ive never voted for the liberals since they decided to bring in the GST, when Johnny boy said he would never bring in the GST. Ha, right! But that's not the only reason why. The children over board episode, the September 11th when USA declared war on Iraq, and our prime minister followed suit. when it turned out that it wasn't them. The lies and false promises. His so fake and he doesn't give a rats backside, on how our country is going down the gurgler. Poverty is beginning to knock on our doors. So I there some of the reasons why, I wont vote for liberal again.

I wont vote Liberal because of Work Place relations,the war in Iraq ,the chance of nuclear reactors which will means WA,NT or SA will have to dispose of the waste.
I would like our country to stop following everything USA does and start thinking for ourselves again like we have always done in the past.

I have changed my mind because of NUCLEAR POWER & URANIUM MINING its out of the ark way & not necessary to use such a DANGEROUS power when other safer things can be used
We have to think of OUR GRANDCHILDRENS children
because accidents always happen & you cant use the land for hundreds of years & you kill heaps of people & animals
& people are still dying from Russias shnovel accident (how ever you spell it ) & kids are still being BORN all deformed today

I'm going to vote against the liberal party because they want to fund the government properly, they want to provide children's health care, they want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, they will probably federally fund embryonic stem cell research to research cures for horrible diseases, and most importantly, they will likely push for the repeal of the Patriot Act, the means we use to legally spy on our own citizens without wiretaps or oversight.

All of these things violate my personal freedoms, and I feel ashamed that anyone would subscribe to those horrific ideals.
