So I got this Acer AL2216W LCD Screen about a year ago and I don't seem to remember if it had that glossy screen where you can see your reflection. It sure doesn't now and it looks cloudy and gross. I don't know if any of you guys have the same monitor as me but it would help if you could mention to me if it used to have the gloss, and if it did and it doesn't on mine, what should I use to clean it? Thanks in advance

I have a Samsung LCD Monitor and it isn't glossy.

Water won't clean the monitor screen very well, there is a special solution that you need to buy and use. Just go to Best Buy, or an electronic specialty store and ask them about cleaning an LCD screen.

For my laptop, I use these cleaning wipes that you can buy at BestBuy/Circuit City etc. I get mine at Walmart, in the aisle with the computer speakers. They are called anti-static cleaning wipes and they are safe to use on the LCD and monitors found on desktops and laptops.

in the beginning how have been you attempting to get the spot off? I sparkling my lcd monitors with a bounty paper towel and a few glass plus. Spray the paper towel with the glass plus and proceed. No it won't scratch it, the bounty towels are softer. turn the exhibit off earlier hand nonetheless.

use a lint free towel that is slightly damp with ONLY warm water and gentle clean the screen. I have an Acer also and it came with the screen.
