Every first offense DWI I ever arrested has been out in less than six hours, no celebrities.

Most police depts are different. The usual time is a few hours! I don't know what their procedure with the Breathalyser is now as I heard they had some issues as they have to wait 30 min before they can administer the test, which is NOT you blood alcohol when you were picked up!

I have never heard of anyone being in for 15 hours unless they could find no one to pick them up or could not find a bail bondsman, which is unusual!

As a rule the minimum mandatory stay for a DUI is 4 hours. If he had called his attorney the attorney would have gotten a Writ of Habeus Corpus (produce the body or bring forth the body--accused) in order to get him released at the 4 hour mark.

I have known people who have been in jail and to prison, and their motto seems to be "Justice is a sh** sandwich. The more bread you have, the less sh** you have to eat." Nuff said?

Cha-ching and the bling....if they gotta it, they walk.....Lohan/Hilton/Ritchie are others who get the red carpet treatment........that and a great photo op for the PD who look at it as 'positive p.r. for the force'.....as in 'Lookie who we pulled over, can I have your autograph please? "
