68 degrees fahrenheit and a breeze will cool most homes with open windows, at virtually no energy cost.

Of course I mean when people are at home and awake.

Funny, I breathe a lot better when I get that fresh air. I can breathe very freely and have a lot more endurance running on fresh air.

Is is true that there are more pollutants trapped inside than outside? And if so, wouldn't that negate the asthma and allergy argument?

, My wife and I both go along with you. My son thought we needed air conditioning. He hooked up two units in the house. Locked up all the windows and there we sat, with the windows shut, the shades pulled against the sun, the drapes pulled so the sun wouldn't warm the house. We sat there like prisoners.
We could no longer hear the Cardinals, the Oriels, the Robins in the many bird feeders we had.

After a few days we took out the air, we opend the windows, the doors, they've been opened for three months, day and night, we hear all the birds, we feels the breeze in the day and at night it's so fresh to feel it across your naked body blowing.

Fresh air forever.

Some people like myself have COPD and air conditioning is vital to breathing good. Some people have allergies and the pollen may get to them. It would be a wonderful world if we didn't have allergies and breathing issues when it is too hot, too cold. 74 degrees with no humidity would be great. Its not always that way.
On second thought too, some people have pets and dogs with a lot of hair are too hot in 88 degree weather, they too need the air conditioning. Be happy you can be fine without the air conditioning and you don't have to pay the bill. When you hear the air conditioners running the person beyond just may NEED that cool air to breathe properly and Woof may need it too.

Some people have allergies or ashma and breathe better in air conditioned air. Others like the way it blocks out road noise etc. Also if its a humid 68 it removes moisture from the air.

Ditto seven-11. When you live in Los Angeles you try to stay in conditioned and filtered air as often as possible, I have asthma and I'll pay for the protection conditioned air supplies.
