to translate F(x) to 3 units to right, we do this : f(x-3)

so urs is : sqrt ( 2(x-3) - (x-3)^2) which reduces to sqrt ( (x-3)(5-x))

The same way you translate any function. Replacing x with (x-a) moves the function 'a' units to the right.
Use a negative 'a' to move the function to the left.
