Interest groups are components in our society that actually influence our legal system. These groups represent specific concerns of a sector in the social system be it the workers, studentry, professionals, gender activists, animal rights advocates, and many more. The spirit of democracy is truly observed thru the socio political dynamics of these units vis a vis the action response of the legal structure in accommodating such demands in policy-making and governance.

All interest groups get eventually taken over by the most militant, aggressive and even fanatic, of the members and then what really matters to them is have their own way and say.In the process, even the cause they were championing goes in to a back ground and they shall roller coaster over any thing including a legal system without any qualms for the ends they want.A government or a media are no match to themThe only way they can be contained is through a counter interest group with matching militancy.

Interest groups influence the decisions of jurists in the trial of the case. Thus, the integrity of the legal system is being distorted by their activities.

Well it depends on the interest group and their tactics. Take for instance the LA riots before the OJ trial, I think it is safe to say when criminals take the streets justice can go out the window. That is an interest group that I have no interest in hearing from again...
