S How do you see Jesus?
How do you see Jesus, please embody him in your words the way you see him. Jesus is the #1 focus of Christian people, our mentor, our teacher, our best effort at understanding uncondtional love?
Can you see Jesus dressed in military uniform, with a gun, grenades, kevlar vest, holding a taser? ready to force you to do his bidding?
Or?
Can you see Jesus sitting in joyful participation of the world, with children, animals, and the old, counselling, spreading wisdom and insight, teaching us the right way to live and treat eachother?

A quasi-historical, possibly even fictional homeless person who might have lived 2000 or more years ago, who supposedly walked about giving free medical aid and behavioral advice to anyone who would listen. This caused two political factions (Roman & Hebrew) to become alarmed as his following grew to such a fervor, that the two factions felt it prudent to prosecute and execute him on trumped up charges in order to be rid of him, and stamp out his growing popularity...

Boy! Did their plans not work very well...as far as stamping out his popularity...they inadvertantly martyred him into Demi-Godhood, and following his death, his life became mytholized and legendized to eventually become the completely ludicrous figurehead of an entire religion that we see before us today...

Millions of people since have killed or have been killed in his name, and now billions worship his character as if he was actually the half God/half human only son of the One & Only Holy Moly Creator of the Entire Universe Himself...

God Almighty...(sure...sounds perfectly logical to me...his Mother Mary was so pure, God decided to "in-utero" fertilize her with his magical little swimmies, and so he was able to do amazing feats that break all the laws of physics...how could I not believe that! Gee Whiz...doesn't sound far-fetched at all, does it?!?

Ha!

LMAO ;-)

Now for the serious part ;-)
I see Jesus just as Mohamed and other beliefs, including Atheism.

I don't know which belief is true since I haven't seen any proof nor disproof.

The man who's called Jesus in the bible seems a good person IMO.

The man that followers use and sometimes misuse is a completely different person IMO. In one occasion that Jesus is open for discussion and helping people, in another occasion he's conquering countries with extreme force and seems totally unfair.

So... I just don't know how to see Jesus, just as I don't know how to see other beliefs. To me it all seems a big lottery where you can... only buy 1 ticket. I've chosen not to buy one, but I'm interested in the outcome and try to stay open minded to all visions.

The latter :Jesus sitting in joyful participation of the world, with children, animals, and the old, counselling, spreading wisdom and insight, teaching us the right way to live and treat each other. I could never picture Jesus in any way that would reflect a military or combative manner. I can only see Jesus as loving and compassionate and wanting us to be happy and full of love . Whenever I picture Jesus I always picture him with his hands outstretched wanting to embrace us as the same way a parent would embrace us and hold his/her child and letting us know how loved and special we are and that he will always be by our side. I always picture this glow of love radiating all around him. And when I see Satan near Jesus I picture Satan covering his eyes with his arm from the blinding light radiating around Jesus and Satan on his knees because the Love of Jesus is to too much for him to withstand.

As a religious leader who was excecuted by The Romans as they saw him as a voice similiar to that of The Zealots of Masada. The Romans did not hold with the ideas surrounding one God and saw Jesus as a manifestation of anti-woman sentiment who was like that spoken of in that book. Jesus is dead and so cannot be personified as kevlar armoured gun toting grenades, tasers and so cannot be made use of for an excuse to kill or taser someone.

I see him as a teacher who has a lot of wisdom, a lot of which he obtained in the Far East during the missing 30 years of his life. Pax - C

You are not supposed to see him.

You are supposed to feel him, believe him, follow him.
