I'm a big fan of the whole series, but FFX (10) is my favorite because I loved the story and the characters, especially Yuna. FFVI (6) is my 2nd favorite, and FFVII (7) is my 3rd.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance!
Cmon people its the only FF game to talk about OTHER FF games! Plus its fun, portable, and addicting. Awesome storyline (like most Final Fantasies) and the music is great for a GBA. Yes I know "But FF(insert number) has these amazing graphics and its so beautiful." Yeah, that may be true, but REAL gamers know that good graphics and poor story dont match up to mediocre graphics and excellent story (look at Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind).

Like most, I love all of them, but the one that stands out the most was FF3 (6 in Japan)
I love the storyline on how it was about fighting against invasions which leads to worldwide catastrophe and the end of the world... only to find that's only half of the game!
Plenty of sidequests, secret characters, a unique spell-learning system, different characters' abilities, multiple endings (sort of, depends on your characters), customizable equipments etc.
The first game to use an orchestra, too.
Plus, there's the opera house! This game has plenty of comedic factors in it.

I would have to say Final Fantasy VII because it has the best storyline (which made way for a few games, a movie, an anime, and a whole line of action figures), the best villian, really cool sidequests, secret characters, and the best summon ever! (Knights of the round)

VII palms down! i in my opinion could not get into VIII, hated approaches, V replaced into very properly, Dirge replaced into good bc it had Vincent (astonishing character) and the different guy or woman replaced into acceptable X & X2 the two needed something yet i'm not sure what. (in spite of the very undeniable fact that once I discovered blitzball i replaced into hooked:). In VII i might desire to do Chocobo racing allday (and nevertheless placed it in sometimes purely to do it) and Barret stubborn! VII is a might desire to-have classic. All that being suggested, the photographs on XII are BOSS! I additionally love that it is not a linear sport & i will come & bypass as I please. GAMBITS! GAMBITS! GAMBITS! What i does not have given for those and my mp refilling via walking in VII. in the event that they might redo VII w/ X2 photographs and device, yet replace not something....i could be in heaven.

#4, by far. Full story about saving the world (rather than petty emo vengeance, like most of the Playstation era ones), and believable and likable main characters.
