I think it depends a lot on the woman. Some excuses commonly used:
1. my husband doesn't pay enough attention to me.
2. my husband ignores my needs/feelings
3. my husband makes me feel fat and unattractive
4. my husband has cheated on me
5. my husband doesn't have sex with me, or fails to satisfy me sexually.

But basically it is selfishness. All the excuses in the world don't make it right.

Women who cheat are of weak character. But here are some reasons: Everyone in today's world seems to be looking for the 'bigger, better deal.' They are never happy with what they have. They expect that when the initial flame of passion fizzles into real life, it's okay to start looking for it in other people. Some people cheat vindictively.
