To find a job in Singapore, lodging is the main expenses. Even you got a budget hotel, it's also about S$50 daily. And no one can assure that you are able to get a job within a week. Do you aware that currently there are already about 500,000 foreigners working in Singapore? With the total population of about 4 million, you can imagine how much is the competition for a decent post!

But for Certified Practise Accountant, you should be able to get a job here. In fact, CPA is one of the most wanted professional by alot of countries including Singapore. It's safe to use one month as a guide, and with $50 daily for lodging, you already need as least S$1500 excluding other expenses.

I may be able to help you out on lodging. You can contact me to discuss.

Depending whether you got any place to stay in Singapore. Over here, the first thing you wanna find is a place to stay. Rental fee can be up to 2000SGD. But you can find for about 500-700SGD. next are your utilities bills. monthly should be around 100 if you are using air con. and your daily expenses. should be about 300-500 each month.
total up is about 900SGD - 1300SGD each month.

I reckon $500-$700sgd is more than enough. If you are careful in where you eat, you ll probably need much lesser. If you opt for food court, main dish there cost about $3-$5sgd on average and perhaps $1-$1.50sgd for drinks. For souvenirs avoid shopping centres where it ll be more costly. Have a walk to Arab street and you ll see lotsa interesting stuff to take back home.

If your experience is in audit, you'll be snapped up in no time. The highest portion of your expenses would be rental. You may need to share a flat with other foreigners. You can easily have a meal for SGD5. If you avoid taxis, transport each day would not exceed SGD5 too.
