I don't know which to get they both have the same mpg. Insurance cost but different HP also 4 vs 8 cyl. I live in Illinois so the winter gets pretty harsh sometimes. And seeing as how the cobra is rwd i don't want to get stuck.

Two very different cars but nice to have the option! My heart would rule my head on this one.(I like V8's!)
Practicality would 'suggest' the Evo. to cope with your Illinois winters. Have fun whatever you buy! Good Luck.

Maybe you should just learn to drive in the snow. I've had FWD and RWD cars and never had any problem with either. It depends where the weight is and how you drive it.

I had a Corvette Sting Ray and also never got stuck in snow.(Weight was divided 48/52 f/r

I also had an '63 Chevy wagon with bad tires and NEVER got stuck in the snow. I had a rear engine Simca and only got stuck when I tried to use it as a snow plow (for fun)

Never been to IL so I don't know what percentage of the year you have show covered roads. But I'd go for the Mustang. I wouldn't take a real Cobra out in bad weather (they leak too much) unless you had the optional removable hard top.

What are you after, horsepower, or Mpg.? If I had a cobra, it would have an 8, and make sure I had on good tires. Live in Iowa, and always had an 8, with really good tires, and a shovel just in case I got stuck.

Buy the Cobra and then get a beater to go to work in. Both are to nice for harsh winters.
