Yes and i feel as if it were just yesterday. It happened about 4 years ago.I was just driving and just got on the freeway going to Anaheim so it happened in California then all of a sudden i didn't even know there was traffic i stopped and out of no where i heard a mirror break and it felt as if it was a bomb it was that loud plus my car went crashing. It was a 18-wheeler truck that hit me.But at the end of the day im glad i still live to tell the story and i wasn't hurt i ended up getting a new car which the lease ends in a week and i just got the 2008 honda accord.

Not yet,,,touch wood..
I have been the first on the scene of a bad accident,it was a very horrific sight and I hope to never come across one ever again. If I hadn't of come along when I did, chances are it would of been fatal for the poor guy trapped in his car, where mates now.
However I have been in a serious motorbike accident, not on a public road,on a farm.Head on collision with another bike.
I was OK other than a dislocated shoulder and concussion.
My friend on the other bike broke his leg in three places and needed surgery to fix it,he now has a permanent limp.
We are both very lucky. It even made the news so I got my few seconds of fame.

yes, but it's not actually a 'traffic accident'. more of a road incident. uhm, philippines has many people who goes to manila, which is the capital city, and most of these people are frm provinces, and when they go to manila, they don't have a house or any family. so they squat. they live on places where it's government or private property. so that day when i had to be on school by 9:00, i was stuck in traffic cause by a demolition of this people who squatted a government property. i left home exactly 6 and then i was stuck for like 5 hours, so i made it to school like around 11 or 12, and i missed one quiz and one seatwork, and a film viewing which was a final output for our final exam. it was such a lousy day. but i got over it. =)

Yes. When I was in the service, driving a jeep down the street, minding my own business, this tree jumped right out in the middle of the road and so naturally I slammed into the tree and the jeep was totaled. I was thrown from the vehicle and when
people saw it they called the ambulance. I was taken to the hospital. That was years ago. I'm still alive an kicking.
Thank-you Jesus. But hey, watch out for those tricky trees

Imagine the "Agony of Defeat" on a a freeway where your car spins as it hydroplanes into the freeway divider only to have an other car skid into the back of the car and drive you back into the divider, crushing all four corners of the car, sending all the loose change in th car wizzing around you head lik bullets, and causing the rear view mirror to com flying of the windshield and cut up the sid of your head, a fact nobody bothers to tell you until after you run your fingers through your hair and find your hand is now bloody. "Excuse me guys, but could somebody have told me about this?" I said as I finally figured out I needed to have it looked at. I believe the answer is yes.

About 120 through a telephone pole, out the side window, through the air and but just one scratch.
The pole snapped in half and the car proceeded to go on and hit four cars and ended up on fire on top of an old unused (luckily) gas pump.
My Vette was totaled. My friend stayed in the car for the rest of the crash and just came a way with a broken leg.
If I had been wearing my seat belt I would have been dead as there was an an indentation of the pole on the driver's side.
I was not drinking btw, another car came into my lane.I tried to slow to avoid and it just spun out of control after my wheels locked.
I don't go that fast anymore, at least not on a side street. ; )

Feb. 5,1985 . took a direct hit from an Oldsmobile delta 88. i was in the front passenger side in a 1972 maverick. 80 mph impact. i was pinned in the floorboard with a broken scapula(shoulder blade), collar bone, and shattered femur. the emt's worked on getting me out for 45 min. now the BAD part......my 2 yr old niece was in the backseat with no seat belt(immediately following this accident, the seat belt laws were changed) she was propelled through the windshield and became an angel at that point. my nephew(4 yrs old) suffered injuries similar to mine. my sister was driving and suffered a broken wrist and the most emotional and mental injuries with the loss of her daughter.
the driver of the Oldsmobile was DUI and a county Judge. the impact took his life as well.
the county tried to charge my sister with vehicular homicide but curiously dropped the charge after the autopsy and toxicology reports surfaced, showing the Judge was DUI.

Are there funny traffic accidents? I thought all traffic accidents were serious. Somone rear ended me yesterday and I laughed my @ss off. It was funny how it happened. I haven't but my best friend in high school was killed in one. Youth, inexperience and speed are not a good combination.

I was passenger in a vehicle that was struck by a freight train,we were dragged down the track 180 feet before the train chewed us up & spit us off to the side. Both of us were so badly hurt,I could actually see a light at the end of a long tunnel. We both survived, each left with long term chronic pain.Remember:..ANYTIME IS TRAIN TIME,meaning,as a 20 car train went by,leaving the driver to think it was okay to go,...little did we know, there was another train on another track going the other way.
