HELP!!! i only have a few weeks left till it arrives at the book store!!!!!!! i don't wanna buy it!!!

First, doublecheck your order. I know I've had a tarot book that came with cards - maybe this is like that. If so, then decide if you want both.

Second, I checked the on-line site and of course, all it mentions is returning on-line purchases.

Returns
If you decide that an item you ordered is not the one you want and it has been scheduled to ship we make the returns process easy. You can return items with no questions asked within 30 days from the date of shipment, and we will provide the appropriate refund. For more information on returning merchandise to Barnes & Noble.com, see our Refund and Returns Policies.

I checked to see if there was specific info about special orders, but found nothing. Best thing is to call the store and ask. You don't have to tell them who you are or what book it is - just get the info you need. If it hasn't been scheduled to ship yet, it sounds like you can cancel, without any problems.

There was also this:
Some items require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before being returned, so please check the packing slip accompanying your item for return directions. If an RMA is required, you'll see instructions for calling Customer Service.

Call them up and ask what their policy is on ordering books,.
Then, just tell them you want to cancel the order nd athat you are not going to buy it since you've found out it's not what you wanted.

I can't imagine how they could make you buy it, but perhaps they wouldn't order another book for you, but there are many other book stores. Hey, order online at Amazon.com...it's cheaper and you get the same thing.

You won't know unless you call Borders and ask if you can return it.

Tell them you already have it and don't want a duplicate.
