I recently attended a funeral of another family member in Toronto, she went to hospital on Sep 8th with high fever and classic symptoms of infection, it took 3 days for the hospital to figure out she had pneumonia.

Her lungs were scarred and she was now on constant oxygen, only option was lung replacement, next thing you know they started her on Morphine Sulfate and stopped her IV. She passed away on 13th.

This is the second case of an otherwise healthy person being put to sleep because the system has no time to operate to extend their life, and it is also cheaper I guess.

So the defenders of the Canadian Medical Systems, answer this do you want this system, Why not a study to find out exactly how many people are put-to sleep by Canada’s Glorified Free Healthcare system.

I agree with your point. I'm also Canadian, and I think that it's about time we cut the crap about the glorious free health care, and start opening up private hospitals too. This year I am using my vote towards those who favour private health care. Those who like the government health care can feel free to use it, but there should be an option for private hospitals.

And as for your situation, my condolences.

Yeah, it's not all it's cracked up to be, I hear. I saw a program on ABC News where a woman actually flew to Montana to have her baby. All the hospitals told her they didn't have room for her to deliver the baby. The waits to see a specialist can be as long as four months.

Our system needs work itself, but at least we can get in to see the doctor in a reasonable amount of time. I get cranky if they can't see me within three weeks.
