Design a problem which can be represented by a linear equation. Write the problem and represent it algebraically -and graphically. Then solve it.

Each day Jack earns $10 per hour, but spends $6 for his lunch. How many hours should he work to take home $34?
Let N be Net, Let H be hours.
The equation is:
N = 10H - 6
Plot two points and draw the line: [See the link below]
2 hours, $14, that's the point(2, 14)
5 hours, $44, that's the point (5, 44)

Substitute 34 for N and solve for H.
34 = 10H - 6
40 = 10H
H = 4 hours
