Anyone know the number of people that died in WWII, including civilians and all??? (Not just Americans)?

And also how many U.S. Soldiers died? Oh, and one other question, how many men were drafted in WWII?

Thanks for everyones contibution! I found out the answers. According to Ken Burns' "The War" approximatley 50-60 million died in WWII (although the exact number will never be known and 405,000 (approx.) U.S. soldiers died. There were 50 million men drafted in WWII.... these are interesting stats to compare with the war we are facing today... interesting! Thanks for yall's help!

Good questions, all told in ww2 about 20 million people died. Perhaps more, on the Soviet side. Best numbers place American deaths at betweem 300 and 500 thousand. We drafted a little over 12 million men in ww2.

I think the total number was between 50-60 million total. About 400,000 American troops died in WW2. And I don't know how many were drafted, but I know most volunteered.

60 to 100 million, 400,000 or so US about 14 million drafted as I recollect, try looking it up or reading a few books probably more reliable than my memory
