Due to the Iraqi conflict causing havoc, the infant mortality rate would have to have increased tremendously. I do not know the exact figures on this but would find it interesting if someone did.

What are you talking about? Under Saddam no children were being imunized against childhood disease. now the majority are. That brings infant mortality down.
