I have been on the pill for 3 years now. I have taken the pill at the same time, every day with no probs. I have been regular with my periods. I just had my period and usually start my pill pack on sundays. This last saturday my husband and i had sex and I took my first pill of this pack at my regular time on sunday. Should i be worried about pregnancy? Thank you for any help.

If you have been taking your pills everyday at the exact same time, then you are protected during your week off/placebo week. You do not need to worry about pregnancy.

Please read the information pamplet that comes with your pills.

NOTHING is 100% effective (except abstinence), so even if you've taken it for three years and at the same time every day as prescribed, you risk a chance of getting pregnant.

It doesn't matter how long you have been on birth control, what type of birth control, if you take it on time or not, anytime you have sex you have a chance of getting pregnant.
