I am not a senior citizen yet, more like a junior, but I am glad you asked the question. I read it so I could find out what I can do for my senior citizen friends.

I used to drive Non Emergency Medical Transports, I know a lot of the older folks enjoyed having someone to talk to.

Thanks for all the good answers, now I have some ideas on what I can do for my friends.

I am along and sometimes I get lonely, but I really prefer to be along.I lost a child at 27 years and of course I miss him and wish I would have had more children. I accept my situation, but I miss having someone to go places. I also miss not having someone to do the chores that I can't do.

Help taking care of parents. Mom is 80 and us kids are starting to retire my brother retired at 58 last month. She needs work done but doesn't want to ask us to do it since we often hire ours done. She just paid someone to put in new beauty bark and hired the neighbor boy to do things like washing her chandler and top of the frig, we need to find someone to wash down and paint her bedroom.
I need someone to wash my chandler and paint the inside of my house. Even at 58-60 we are starting to want help doing chores so we can play more.

I would like to have someone to come to my home, and help me with the little things I cannot do for myself. I do have a cleaning lady, but she is all business and rarely speaks to me. But she does a good job of cleaning. I would like someone to talk to, to play cards and board games with, and to have someone take me to the beauty shop - right now I have to depend on my neighbors. A friend of mine does the grocery shopping - I just need social contacts.

More energy to do all the things I need to do. I usually only do one or two chores a day besides my everyday jobs. My house needs painting inside . I've always done my own decorating but when I think of what it entails , I end up avoiding doing anything, sigh........ ,definately more energy!
