X^2+6x+8

You find factors of 8 that give you 6. (This is called foiling)
You get 4 and 2.

(X+4) (X+2)

:) Good Luck! It'll come back to you!

(x+2)(x+4) look at all the possiblities that can make 8
2 and 4 1 and 8 are the only ones
then test them

this can be factorised by a very simple method called middle term splitting.
let me explain
break the middle term (hich in this case is 6x) into 2 numbers, such that when you add them, they give 6x, and when you multiplly them, you get 8x^2
so in this case, you can break 6x into 4x and 2x
your term has now become:
x^2+2x+4x+8
now we can take x common in the 1st 2 terms:
x(x+2) + 4x +8
now we can take 4 common from the last 2 tems
x(x+2) + 2(x+2)
now we can take (x+2) common from this
(x+2)(x+4)
voilla
in answer form:
=> x^2 + 6x + 8
=> x^2 + 2x + 4x + 8
=> x(x+2) + 4(x+2)
=> (x+2)(x+4) =answer

(x + 4) (x + 2)

Foil it out, you'll get:

x * x + x * 4 + x * 2 + 2 * 4

= x^2 + 4x + 2x + 8

= x^2 + 6x + 8

(x+2)(x+4)
I'm no math major but I think this is the factors. If you FOIL you get:
X^2+2x+4x+8
X^2+6x+8

(x+4)(x+2)
------------------------
x^2 + 6x +8
put the x in the 2 brackets
(x )(x )
den split the 8 in a way u can get +6
(x+4)(x+2)
