Is this an ok telescope? It is from target......The last two posts were wrong.?

I have a pair of binoculars that have 8X20 magnification and I want to farther. The magnification for this is 30x. That is more righ? lol I am confused with reading the magnification. I only want to use it for a length of about 3 football fields with detail. Thanks for the reply. If it wont work for that length what telescope do you recommend for that low of price.

8x20 binoculars have 8x magnification so the 30x Target scope is higher. $14.99 is pretty cheap for a telescope and I think you might be disappointed but you might be OK. You aren't out very much money if it doesn't work out.

That's basically a toy. Unfortunately, nothing that cheap is going to work very well. What you want is a "spotting scope". Try your local sporting goods store. Your binoculars have 8x magnification; the 20 is the diameter of the lenses, in mm.

If you only want to see terrestrial objects then forget about cheap toy telescopes, they are meant for looking at the moon and the image will be upside down. What you want is called a "spotters scope". These are designed for terrestrial observing of target scores in rifle shooting and would be perfect for your needs.

if your going to get a telescope target is a bad idea ((you cant get a good one at a store like taget / walmart or any other store liek that))
