I have many fond memories of high school! I was in a service club and we would always participate in community service projects. One project that we were nationally honored for was our project at a convalescent home. Everyday we took turns sighing up for different shifts at the home. We were companions to the elderly patients. We spent time quality time with them. I'll always remember Mrs. Lippy. I was honored to be her companion twice a week for the entire summer. She was an opera star in Italy; barely spoke English. I was so heartbroken when the nurse told me that her family "dumped" her at the home. They never visited her; I'm not even sure they lived in Hawaii.

This project taught me to respect my elders and to cherish and learn from them. It's a lesson that I keep in my heart to this day. It's truly amazing!

Aloha! =0)

I know this sounds so silly, but it's true. One day I was on a forest preserve hiking trail next to my high school and the most popular guy in school saw me exercising and as he was running towards me (also exercising) he smiled at me. It's a nice memory I'll never forget, just that little thing he did made me feel so pretty!

Mooning the principal accidentally since he wasn't my intended target. My embarrassment was enough punishment to suit him. Cracks me up to remember that.
Have lots of great memories, but that one just sticks in my memory.

Being in the band, yeah I was a hot band geek, lol. But I got to travel to places I normally wouldn't have been able to. Like Hawaii and California to name a couple.
