I believe it would feel like a stab in the gut! I don't think many of my friends really know when my birthday is. My relatives know, though, and they all live out of state. I usually receive cards from most of them, except my mother, who sends a gift.

When I used to work, my co-workers would exchange birthday cards and everyone would chip in on a gift. That would be the normal procedure for everyone in the office. :o).

But if I had a group of close friends and all or most of them remembered each other's birthdays---all except for mine--I would feel really bad/hurt!!!

Yes, my feelings would be hurt. Last year everyone forgot my birthday, both family and friends. But, sometimes things like that happen. I'm not going to let one day upset my entire year.

I suppose since I'm the one who always throws the parties and reminds everyone about birthdays, I should've reminded them of mine!!

my birthday is the day after my friends birthday so she better not forget!!!! But frankly it really doesnt matter to me any more.....all my life i got the your birthday is so close to christmas speech so its never been a big deal....the only time it really ever hurt was.....my birthday is usually over thanksgiving weekend and my grandparents would always come....mind you my grandma is my godmother and i had to get baptised in the hospital because they thought i might die so she was there like the day after i was born.....but every year she sent the card in january because thats when she thought my birthday was even tho my mom would bring out a cake at thanksgiving dinner for my birthday whatever....

What's worse is when everyone wishes you a happy birthday the day after.

You just know one of the realized they all forgot and reminded everyone else about it.

Yes, if they knew about it or remembered. You have to remind people a couple of days beforehand. Guys don't remember birthdays without being reminded!

I wouldn't mind. I don't like getting attention on my birthday. But I can understand why other people would feel upset.

Yes, that wouldn't be very nice and would start questioning just how good of friends they actually were!!
